The quality of the products and the quick response to the customer’s orders allowed them, in the early years, to expand their area of operation to all of Northern Portugal.

In addition to their operations in the area of traditional commerce, Guimarpeixe has always invested in supermarkets, operating in all national regions and exporting to the European Union.

As a dynamic company with a sense of continuous improvement and focused on the client, Guimarpeixe created, in 2003, a strategy of certification of its Quality Management System according to NP EN ISO 9001:2000 by EIC- International Certification Company.

Due to constant growth, 2004 began a frozen fish processing unit, under the most strict food safety requirements, certified by NP EN ISO 22000:2005 - Food Safety Management System.

In 2004 Guimarpeixe was qualified for MSC chain of custody in products such as South African hake and sardine with a sustainable sourcing.
